The roll comprises a resin-bonded emery (predominantly aluminium oxide) abrasive laid onto a flexible cotton/polyester backing, providing a balance of cutting action and tear resistance for manual sanding and contour work.

The abrasive grain is aluminium oxide (often referred to as emery), supplied in FEPA P-grade grit designations (typical range available P80 to P320). The backing is a medium-weight cotton/polyester cloth with a resin-saturated finish to resist loading and extend life. The product is manufactured to the common coated-abrasive conventions under ISO 6344 and produced under ISO 9001 quality controls; grit labelling follows FEPA/P standards. Thread type, head type and drive type are not applicable to this consumable product.
