The 16mm x 95mm Epoxy Acrylate Capsule is a single-use chemical anchor in a glass capsule format, designed to create a bonded fixing point for threaded bar, studs or rebar in solid and cracked concrete, masonry and natural stone. Its primary use is as a spin-in chemical mortar for medium- to heavy-duty anchors where mechanical expansion anchors are unsuitable or where higher pull-out and fatigue performance is required.

The capsule contains a two-component epoxy acrylate resin and hardener sealed within a thin glass tube. On installation a 16mm drill hole is cleaned, the glass capsule is inserted and a matching threaded bar or stud is spun into the hole. The glass breaks, the two components mix and the resin cures to form a durable bond between the anchor and the substrate. The product is compatible with metric threaded bars and rebar commonly used on site and is therefore suitable for M‑series threads; no head or drive type applies to the capsule itself.

Technically, the capsule delivers an epoxy acrylate polymer rather than pure epoxy, giving a balance of rapid initial set and good long-term load performance. The glass capsule format provides product integrity and ease of handling. These anchors are used in systems assessed to recognised European guidance for bonded anchors (for example ETAG/EAD assessment frameworks) and are suitable for specification alongside anchors and fixtures that require documented design performance in accordance with structural fixing standards.
