The M10 x 80mm Epoxy Acrylate Capsule is a glass two‑component chemical anchor designed to create a bonded connection between an M10 threaded rod and solid substrates such as concrete, natural stone and solid masonry. Its primary use is for post‑installed anchoring where mechanical expansion anchors are unsuitable or where higher load capacity, reduced edge spacing and improved fatigue resistance are required.

The capsule contains an epoxy acrylate resin and a hardener separated within a thin borosilicate glass tube. The product is a spin‑in type: inserting and rotating the M10 threaded rod through the capsule breaks the glass, mixes the two components and forces the adhesive into the drilled hole. The system is intended for use with M10 metric coarse thread (ISO 261 / ISO 965, formerly DIN 13) rods; it is compatible with zinc plated, hot‑dip galvanised and stainless steel (A4) threaded bars. As a bonded anchor, its performance should be installed and assessed in accordance with EAD/ETAG guidance for bonded anchors (EAD 330499‑00‑0601 / ETAG 001) and in line with EN 1992‑4 (Eurocode 2: design of fastenings in concrete) where required.

Typical applications include structural supports, handrails, balustrades, mechanical services, facade fixings and heavy machinery anchorage across construction, civils, utilities and industrial maintenance sectors. The cured epoxy acrylate provides good chemical and water resistance within the hole and transfers loads through bond to the substrate; however, for exposed or marine environments using A4 stainless steel rods is recommended to ensure long‑term corrosion resistance.

Installation requires drilling to the correct diameter (typically 12mm for M10), cleaning the hole with a brush and blow‑out, inserting the capsule and rod to the specified embedment depth, then rotating to mix. Torque loading should only be applied after the adhesive has cured — curing time is temperature dependent so consult the technical data sheet for specific cure schedules. The system supports high tensile and shear loads when used with appropriate grade rods (commonly up to grade 8.8 for carbon steel) and offers reduced edge and spacing requirements compared with mechanical anchors.
