The M8 x 80mm Epoxy Acrylate Capsule is a glass resin capsule designed for use with M8 threaded rods or studs to form bonded, high-capacity anchors in concrete, masonry and natural stone. Its primary use is as a chemical anchor: the glass capsule is inserted into a drilled hole and the M8 rod is spun into the capsule, breaking the glass and mixing the two-part epoxy acrylate resin so that it fills the annulus and bonds the rod to the substrate.

The capsule itself contains an epoxy acrylate resin formulation and is housed in a glass shell. The product is intended for use with metric ISO coarse threads (M8, ISO 68‑1) and is compatible with standard carbon steel, galvanised and stainless steel threaded bars and studs. Resin anchors of this type are typically installed in accordance with industry guidance for bonded anchors (EAD/ETAG guidelines for resin anchors) and should be used following the manufacturer’s installation and curing recommendations. Because this product is a chemical anchoring accessory rather than a metal fastener, there is no head or drive type to specify.

Typical applications include fixing structural elements, railings, balustrades, base plates, machinery anchors and façade fixings where expansion anchors could cause splitting or where a sealed, vibration-resistant bond is required.
