This 1/2" hose connector is a threaded hose fitting intended to join a 1/2" BSP (British Standard Pipe) threaded outlet to a flexible hose tail, providing a reliable transition between tap fittings and garden or irrigation hosework. Manufactured from dezincification resistant brass (DZR, nominally CW602N to EN 12164/12165), the connector resists zinc leaching and maintains mechanical integrity in contact with potable water. The external finish is a bright machined brass; nickel plating is available on selected items for additional surface wear resistance. The threaded end is 1/2" BSP parallel (G 1/2) conforming to ISO 228-1 / BS EN ISO 228-1 for non-pressure-sealing pipe threads. The hose tail is profiled to accept standard 12 mm (approximately 1/2") internal bore hose and is designed for use with standard hose clips or jubilee clips to secure the hose. A hexagonal spanner flat is machined into the body to allow tightening with a spanner; there is no drive head or screwdriver drive on this item.
