A 50A strip fuse is a fusible link designed to protect low-voltage electrical circuits by melting a conductive strip when excessive current flows, interrupting the circuit and preventing damage to wiring, batteries or connected equipment. Its primary use is overload and short-circuit protection in DC and AC systems where a replaceable, compact high-current protector is required.

The fuse element is typically a copper alloy strip with a tin or nickel plating to improve corrosion resistance and solderability.
