This 550mm x 24 TPI mitre saw blade is a fine‑tooth replacement blade designed for accurate cross‑cutting of thin section metals, aluminium extrusions, plastics and composite mouldings in mitre and hacksaw frames. The 550mm length suits most large mitre saw heads and traditional hand T hacksaw frames that accept long blades, while 24 teeth per inch (TPI) gives a fine, smooth cut with minimal burrs on thin‑walled workpieces.

The blade is manufactured in bimetal construction, with M42 high‑speed steel teeth electron‑welded to a flexible, high‑tensile alloy steel backing strip. The HSS tooth material delivers improved wear resistance and toughness compared with plain carbon blades; the alloy backing provides necessary flexibility to resist breakage. A phosphate/black oxide finish is applied to reduce corrosion and to aid chip clearance during cutting. As a production control measure it is made under ISO 9001 quality systems and to recognised BS/EN dimensional tolerances for blade length and tooth pitch. Thread type, head type and drive are not applicable for this blade as it is intended for framed mitre/hacksaw use.
