This 5mm x 100mm centre punch is a hand-operated marking tool used to produce a small, accurate dimple in metal, wood or plastic to locate a drill bit and prevent wandering when drilling. The 60° hardened point produces a neat centre mark and the 100mm length gives good reach and leverage for workshop and site use. It is sold as the Draper Tools Group D (DR10750) centre punch.

The punch is manufactured from heat-treated carbon tool steel (C45/EN8 equivalent) that has been hardened and tempered to provide a long-wearing tip resistant to mushrooming. The working end has a defined 60° tip angle and a machined flat striking face; the shaft diameter is 5mm and the overall length is 100mm. A protective black phosphate/oxide finish is applied to reduce surface corrosion and reduce glare. This tool is produced to recognised hand-tool manufacturing practice and to DIN/ISO/BS hand-tool quality expectations for drop-forged and heat-treated punches.
