The Bacho 301 Coping Saw is a lightweight hand saw designed for cutting tight curves, internal cut-outs and detailed shapes in wood, plastic and soft metals. Its primary use is for precision joinery, trimming mouldings and model-making where control and minimal kerf are required. The saw is supplied as a complete frame and handle assembly that accepts industry-standard coping blades.

The frame is formed from high-tensile spring steel (spring steel construction) with a durable powder-coated finish to resist corrosion and wear in workshop conditions. The blade supplied or fitted is made from high‑carbon steel (C65 range), hardened and tempered for edge retention; it accepts standard 127 mm (5 in) coping blades with common pin fittings. Blade tension is adjustable via the thumb screw/wing-nut tensioner so the blade can be tensioned for straight cuts or slackened for curved profiling. The handle is a turned, ergonomically profiled grip with a lacquered finish for comfort and control. Thread type/head/drive are not applicable to this saw.

The Bacho 301 is manufactured to recognised hand-tool quality standards and complies with relevant DIN, ISO and BS requirements for manual sawing tools where applicable, ensuring compatibility with standard replacement blades and accessories.
