This is a six-piece hollow punch set for cutting neat, repeatable round holes in soft to medium materials such as leather, rubber, gasket board, vinyl, soft plastics and thin non-ferrous sheet. The set covers sizes from 3/16" up to 1/2" (3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2") and is intended for handheld workshop use with a mallet or for use in light arbor presses when controlled, concentric holes are required.

Each punch is manufactured from heat-treated medium carbon steel (equivalent to EN8 / C45) with a hardened, ground cutting edge to give extended service life and resharpening capability. The cutting rims are hardened to approximately HRC 48–52 to retain a clean edge through repeated striking. Shafts are finished with a black oxide/oil finish to reduce surface corrosion and to aid durability in a workshop environment. The punches are tubular (hollow) in form with a reinforced struck cap to accept light hammer blows; there are no threads or removable heads on these tools.

Typical applications include leatherwork, upholstery and saddle repair, grommet and eyelet preparation, gasket cutting, electrical insulation and cable gland installation, model-making and light fabrication in automotive and marine workshops.
