This is a 600 mm / 24" stainless steel rule designed for accurate linear measurement and layout work in workshops, on-site installations and general DIY. Its primary use is as a hand-held straight ruler for measuring, marking out and checking lengths where a rigid, corrosion-resistant rule is required, offering both metric and imperial scales on a single tool.

The rule is manufactured from grade EN 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel with a satin-polished finish to reduce glare while maintaining good corrosion resistance in normal workshop and exterior environments. The length is 600 mm (24"), with dual graduations: millimetres on one edge and inches (including fractional sub-divisions) on the opposite edge. Markings are machine-etched and black-filled to resist wear and remain legible under heavy use. The edge is straight and ground to give a reliable reference for scribing; thickness and flexibility are balanced to resist bending in routine handling. Head type, drive type and thread type are not applicable to this hand measuring tool. Graduations are produced to recognised tolerances for hand measuring rules and conform to standard industry accuracy classes used in BS/ISO practice for workshop rules.
