This is a 10 mm x 1.0 metric fine split die manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) and intended for cutting, cleaning or repairing external M10 × 1.0 threads. The split design allows slight size adjustment and improved thread run‑in compared with solid dies, making it suitable for restoring damaged threads or producing fine pitch metric threads by hand or in a die holder on light machinery.

The die is produced from M2 high speed steel, hardened and precision ground to deliver a long tool life and consistent cutting geometry.
